Though enough data is not available to this regard, according to "Rajmala" 9royal chronicle of tripura0 says that Manikya Dynasty is descendents of manu. it is branched from manu's daughter Ila, who is the founder of "Ailavansh" or "Chandravansh". brief account of geneaology is here.
Yayati had five sons. Yadu who's descendents called Yadavas, to which lord Krishna belongs. other son puru is ancestor of "Pauravas" (ie. Kauravas and Pandavas). Yayati's son Dhruyu is the ancestor of Manikya Dynasty, which has ruled Tripura. For some times Manikya dynasty lost control over regime but later they again captured the power. and ruled tripura till 12th January 1948, when state merged to Indian Union
